My
name is Lesli Paterson, and welcome to my blog. I created this blog to
help other people like me who are suffering with tonsil stones.
Hun, you NEED to tell your doctor everything and anything that is bugging you. Nothing bad will happen to you when/if you get your tonsils removed. It’s a common procedure, they do it all the time, it’s not like you’ll be a lab rat. =) You’ll feel much better after you tell your doctor and get something done.
Don’t worry, you will wake up. =)
I had Strep five times within about eight months- so my doctor didn’t give me too much of a choice.
I got them out about two months ago and I’m 21.
You should really just get them taken out- it is SO much better now. I mean, the surgery is literally about 20 minutes. I remember going in about 945, then I woke up in recovery at a few minutes after 10. You will be sore for a few days- but like I already said, it is SO much better now!
So good luck, and just get it over with.
cronic infection, tonsilitis. Having your tonsils removed is fairly minor surgery these days. I’m sure your boyfriend cares about you, but he’s not a DR. & neither am I. you have nothing to be afraid of. SEE YOUR DOCTOR THIS WEEK!!
tonsillitis is a common infection of the throat..and if go unattended, the infection may decend and can cause myocarditis, which is infection in the heart or can way down to the kidneys and cause it to fail..if you have had tonsillitis more than once, it is best for your tonsils be removed, to keep it from getting infection…your body will not be that affected when your tonsil be removed..at least you don’t have to deal with more troubles in the future..
ok yes ive had this before its ok besides alot of the times after you have your tonsils removed it makes all of those frequent infections go away. Its not like you’re going to die or its the end of the world, go to your doctor now before it grows then completely clogs your throat and then ull have breathing problems.
I have had my tonsils removed and I don’t have all the problems other people have with there tonsils now. I do still get sore throats but nothing like other people with tonsils get. I am happy that I don’t have mine. If you get then out you still have lymph nodes in other places that will continue to protect you against diseases. Tonsils are a lymph node. When they get sick they are working to keep you healthy. I don’t have mine, but I am also a lot healthier for it.
I had the same problem but I left it and I ended up with a tumor the size of a cricket ball which extended from my tonsil area down the side of my throat. I used to be terrified of doctors but then having major surgery to remove it cured my fear. Having surgery can be scary but everyone is really friendly and they do everything they can to put you at ease. A year later after having my lump removed I then had my tonsils taken out because they were still causing troubles. I was 21 at the time and even though I’d had major surgery I was still pretty scared. It only took about half an hour and even though my throat was very sore for a few days it was well worth it.
Please go to your doctor
Good Luck
