I have tonsil stones (gross & stinky cauliflower-shaped yellow things) that fill up & come out the back of my?
mouth in my tonsils on both sides-she puts this acid stuff on each side to burn the “crypt” as she calls it, it tastes horrible and makes the back of my mouth a filmy white for a few days.
I get chronic sinus infections (about 4-6 a yr), & am now experiencing ear infections too-like 2-3 a yr. I take 6 pills a day to prevent migraines, however they’re hereditary (or I would get like 18-24 a month-they consider the sinuses & allergies a contributing factor). I’ve been tested for allergies-positive for 24/26 things, but I don’t get the running eyes or sneezing factors of it all.
I seen my ENT yesterday she wants me to start getting allergy shots twice a week at $10.00 a pop and they only do them on certain days from 9:30 to 12:30 and 1:30 to 4:30 which is a little much IMO-both in terms of money & work. Three people in my immediate family have had their tonsils removed due to sinus/ear/allergy issues and these tonsil stones-yuck. She doesn’t think that needs to happen with me.
Thoughts, as in has anyone else had this issue before with tonsil stones and sinuses, besides my family, lol? I am going to be 33 next week, I know it’s a bit worse when you’re older to get your tonsils removed, but I am not concerned about that.
I am new to this Q&A thing on Yahoo, but I love it so far :0). Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and potentially answer my ?.

Yeah I’ve had this for several years, I forgot to add that, when I was in my teens this started.

Having your tonsils removed will end the “necrotic debris” in them, wouldn’t that be a desirable thing?
I had them following a really nasty Glandular Fever (not caught snogging anyone, just a bloody infections disease, lol!) and they lasted about 14 years… I was fobbed off by every doctor whenever I mentioned them and was more or less set a dare to grab one and bring it so they could analyse them… Bunch of twits. I have no tonsils left to speak of, they did the same as yours over the years.
It turns out that they lead to general fatigue and low immune system and can be linked to even low level allergies indeed. I get the laryngitis/pharyngitis/chest infections/rhynitis all the time too, but no runny nose or runny eyes, just general “blaaaaarh, adoder cold, I can’t breade”.
If I’d known, I would have had my tonsils removed, but the ENT at the time I had my GF said it was so severe, I’d have no tonsils left at the end of it. Thanks. 14 years later…
