if you get your tonsils taken out can it affect singing?

im wanting to start gettin singin lesons.would it be better to get tonsils removed or not

I might but I really don’t know, I’m not a doctor. I’ve heard it might affect your singing but its like a chance of one in a million.

Where did you get the idea that removing your tonsils would affect your singing? I had mine out as a child and I have a nice singing voice. My father had never had his removed and he sang beautifully. I can’t imagine it would make much difference. Besides, your tonsils are your first line of defence in your immune system. If they’re giving you trouble you need to take a hard look at the nutritional value of the foods you’re consuming.
