I have a six month old Maltese puppy, her breath is awful smelling! She was on eukanuba dog food then I switched her to science diet and it still stinks… she has been wormed as well. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the stinky breath?

You can buy dog toothpaste (DONT USE HUMAN TOOTHPASTE) and a dog toothbrush though a human toothbrush works just as well, you’ll have to slowly introduce the brushing but eventually it wont bother your dog at all, plus her breath will smell better, or you could get special bones, they’ll say it helps fight germs or something on the package, or if all else fails then you coulod get them cleaned at the vet, though its the most expensive… Hope this helps <3<3
Have you tried brushing her teeth? We give our puppy something called Puppy Mints. They’re little bone-shaped mint green biscuits. Eukanuba and Science Diet are not good dog foods. We feed our dogs Innova dry and canned. They have a kind made just for puppies. To see the ingredients in Innova, see the site listed below. To learn how to find a healthy dog food, see the Natura site. You can also look at dogfoodanalysis.com for a rating of dog foods. You should feed something above a 4 rating.
First of all, do not feed your dog science diet! It has by-products! By products are the brains/feet/butthole of the animal. If you want something that is sold a petco, try wellness dog food. It is human grade. Petco has wellness dogs food, not petsmart. Or try Natural Balance. Get some dog tooth paste and brush the dog’s teeth every day.
Yes, they do have doggy toothpaste and toothbrushes. But if you don’t think your dog will enjoy this (like my dog) the they actually have dog mints. We got some at PetSmart called Puppermints for like $2 and he likes the flavor, and hes a picky eater. So, those tend to work on even the smelliest dog breath (aka my dog lol).
Get her used to teeth brushing now but since she is teething,I’d use a minty dental chew to make her breath improve untill the teething is done.
