Persistent bad breath?
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU ANSWER, THANKS!
I brush my teeth 3 times a day, floss once a day, use alcohol-free mouthwash twice a day and still have bad breath. Also, when I finish brushing, I can actually feel the odor coming from the back of my mouth near my throat and about 30 minutes after brushing, I get a metal-like taste in my mouth and have bad breath… like I never brushed.
Note: I had my wisdom teeth removed 6 months ago and thought that maybe there was an infection, so I went back to the dentist who removed them, he said everything was healed properly and there shouldnt be a problem. Also, I consulted with a pharmacist and he suggested I use mouthwash twice a day and it should go away. It hasnt really helped. Should I get a third opinion and consult a dental hygienist? It really bothers me and I`m really paranoid about talking to people up close because of it…
ANYONE HAVE A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE???
WHAT SHOULD I DO??
PLEASE DONT BE RUDE…
THANK YOU!
I already consulted a dentist and he said that there was nothing wrong. (He only looked in my mouth for like 5 seconds-literally). Would a dental hygienist be a better fit to diagnose this?
I`m not currently taking any medication.

My
name is Lesli Paterson, and welcome to my blog. I created this blog to
help other people like me who are suffering with tonsil stones.
You mentioned a metallic taste in your mouth, this occurs if you’re taking certain medications such as:
oral hypoglycemics (metforman)
antimicrobrials (metronidazole, tetracylin)
antipsychotics (lithium)
cardiovascular drugs (enalapril)
immunosuppressants (corticosteroids)
Also, mild symptoms of oral candidiasis (fungus) in your mouth can contribute to this metallic taste, although it is not a diagnostic feature.
I would consult your dentist to diagnose this problem.
May I help you with some information about bad breath you may not know about. Scientist at the School of Dental Medicine in New York recently proved that most bad breath is caused by as bacteria called Solobacterium moorie. They cured bad breath in 100% of the people by having them brush their teeth and clean their tongue twice a day. This bacteria can often be seen as “white stuff”, especially on the back of the tongue. Look in the mirror on the back of your tongue.
I clean my tongue with OraBrush tongue cleaner because it is a brush and a scraper and really cleans the bacteria off the back of my tongue. My wife tells me my breath is kissing sweet. You can learn more at this site: http://www.orabrush.com
Maybe you have pockets in your tonsils…
I used to have little holes in my tonsils and food/spit would built up in the holes and make my breath smell disgusting!!!!! I got my tonsils out and the problem is gone
