Help With Child Behavior Problems!

My 6 year old daughter is getting her tonsils and adenoids out in a couple days. Not because she has a lot of throat infections, but because they have been enlarged for over a year and causing hearing problems. Her Dr has told us in the past that we should have this surgery done because it will improve her concentration in school as well as her appetite and over all well being, but I’m skeptical that those types of changes will really occur. Have any of your children had this surgery for these reason’s and what changes occurred with them? I agree that the surgery needs to be done, but don’t think the affects will be what they say.
