Alright, I’m trying to figure out what is going on..
My tonsils have been enlarged for a while now (maybe a month or so), but have not bothered me whatsoever. I just recently came down with a sore throat and congestion, what seems to be a normal cold. I went to see a doctor because my tonsils are still enlarged, and she asked me to see an OBGYN and to return soon after the check-up. Could uneven tonsil enlargement be related to STDs? She prescribed me amoxicillin to reduce swelling, but wants to send me to an ENT if the swelling persists. Any ideas of what may be going on?

For a long time, one of my tonsils has always been bigger than my other. I have no pain, no coughing, no trouble breating, no trouble swollowing or anything at all. What do you think it is? I never would have even noticed it if i hadn’t just decided to look in the mirror one day. I’m 13 years old by the way.
