I’m one of those people compelled to get them out of my throat which ends up with me gagging. Does stress play a role? I used to get them about once a week. But the past three weeks (school started and im working full time ahhh) i have been getting like 2 or more a day. So what could it be!!! I dont know if age plays into it but im 16. Oh and is it genetic cuz my mom also gets them.Thanks for anyone that answers! :)

i talked to my Ear nose & throat doctor and he said that he would take my tonsils out for me or he could put my on a long regimen of antibiotics. I wasn’t thrilled with the idea so i said i would think about it.
I was reading about how your tonsils and ears are connected, and im starting to reconsider having them out.
Every time i chew gum it feels like i have fluid in my ear, also i feel like i don’t hear as well as i should…..Im 16.
Could this all be connected?
and if i get them out does your hearing increase and will it most likely fix the fluid in ear problem?

also im a singer…….it wont change my voice right?

The inside of my cheek is also a little swollen. There is one spot on my tonsil and has been for a quite a while and my tongue is coated.

I saw one GP who prescribed me antibiotics for suspected Strep Throat, I’m awaiting the results for the swab, but another GP said not to take antibiotics because it was a type of thrush and I should use anti fungal oral solution. So I had a word with the pharmacist and I am taking both. However, my lips are dry and they tingle, I get cold sensations on my tongue and my nose is very itchy, my eyes water a bit too. My salivary glands are also feeling irritated.

Is the cause of my throat and mouth symptoms possibly allergy related or infection related? Could it be related to a cold or to a wisdom tooth?
