cure for Tonsil stones

i was looking them up on google and saw some pretty disgusting S.hit. i looked in my mouth a few months ago and i have them, but they look nothing nearly as nasty as what i saw on google. omg. but anyway, is there a cure for them? what are they? what if you swallow it? every answer is appreciated, thanks
