Ever since she was a baby she has always snored a little bit. I never really thought anything of it. Maybe just a stuffy nose. She now 3 and still snore on occasion. Shes had one ear infection about a year ago. Ive also noticed that her tonsils are huge. You can barely see past them. I was told sometimes children have enlarged tonsils. Well lately shes been coughing at night and spitting up flem. Also I notice that sometimes it seems like she stops breathing for a few seconds. I looked down her throat and she has white spots. I had problems when I was younger with my tonsils and had them taken out when I was 5. Should I finally take her to the Dr. ??

I took her yesterday because she had pus pockets on her tonsils and a fever, but the fever was gone by the time she got in to see the doctor because I had given her ibuprofen. They did a quick test for strep and said it was negative and just sent us home.
Since being home, her fever has gotten as high as 103 which is right about when it’s time to give her medicine again. She has developed a cough, which worries me because she has asthma (but has never had an acute attack).
I want to take her back to the urgent care, but I’m afraid they won’t do anything again. But if I wait until the cough is really bad, they might do something. But then the urgent care might be closed and I’ll have to take her to the emergency room. What would you do?
Oh I forgot to add that she is 5 years old
