Okay, my tonsils were fine up until 2 years ago! I got this infection and then from this infection something formed on the tonsil. Of course the genius doctors were like oh it’s tonsil stones, nothing to worry about. I GO to another doctor said its a cyst, it’ll go away by itself don’t worry about it if it doesn’t bother you….

Well from this stupid thing I’ve had infection after infection and my life has become a mess. I looked it up online and came up with a Peritonsillar abscess. It wasn’t taken care of 2 years ago when it was something small and now I can’t even see it anymore. Where the tonsil hole used to be and that stupid little cyst, it is now filled with tissue mass looks like a swollen glob of tonsil that has sealed everything in that one tonsil crypt.

Mind you, I tried to remove it myself when it was small, I tried poking at it, even tried a needle but would only get it to bleed. Now of course I don’t touch it but I want that ball of mass removed!

My tonsils are usually very swollen. They have always been big-ish more or less, but lately their normal state is “swollen”. Even if I don’t have an infection, when I open my mouth I can see my tonsils like two huge pinkish raisins in the back of my throat. I also get tonsil stones very easily, which bothers me a lot because of the psychological effect they have on me, and because they’re disgusting and smelly. As soon as I get the slightest bit cold I get a sore throat, and usually tonsil stones as well. I don’t know what to do about this. My sister had her tonsils removed when she was 8, but that’s simply not an option for me. I don’t have the money for the surgery, neither do I have the courage, and I don’t even have time to go see a normal doctor about my problems.
Is there some everyday relief I can use for my sore and swollen tonsils, or some over the counter drugs that could help? I live in Sweden so unless it’s an internationally common medicine, I’m not sure I can find it in Swedish pharmacies.
As I said above… getting my tonsils removed is NOT an option… netiher have the time or the money for the surgery.
For the last time ppl… read the whole question. I AM NOT HAVING MY TONSILS REMOVED!! What I’m asking for is a way to fix my problems myself, because I AM NOT HAVING THEM REMOVED!

I was wondering if anyone who feeds their pets Nutro Natural Choice has noticed any adverse side effects.

I have had a kitten for about six months now, and she was on Nutro Natural Choice, Complete Care Indoor Kitten. Not really knowing much about the food, I decided to keep her on it. She’s always had a sort of a greasy coat, but at the same time she has flakes. She is a domestic long hair, but she does groom herself, so I was beginning to think it may be due to the food.

I recently got a five year old boxer who had been eating “Kibbles and Bits” and knew she had to be changed immediately. I switched her over to Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed Adult. She’s been on it for about three weeks now, and she suddenly has very, very flaky skin. Now I am really thinking that it is probably the food, since they both have the same symptoms.

They also both have very bad breath – even more than what is normal for animals!

Has anyone else had any of these problems?

I am a 23 year old male from the US and have had no previous problems with my mouth before now. Never had braces or even a cavity so all this is very strange to me. I have had my Wisdom Teeth removed but I still have my Tonsils so here is the story…

About 2 months ago I noticed a few taste buds near the back of my tongue had grown in size and began to hurt. These taste buds are located in the middle of my tongue right in front of the row of my Circumvallate papillae taste buds and are raised and very hard. At first I thought it might be due to allergies but after a visit to the Dr. I ruled that. I have also started to develop a light yellow film on top of my tongue that is hard to scrape off with a toothbrush. Soon after the taste bud incident I noticed 3 spots on the roof of my mouth began to hurt, it is more of light burning/sore feeling. These spots are not raised and they are not bumps, just part of the roof of my mouth and are about the size dime.

What I find very strange about all this is I went to the Dentist and he said it all looked normal. I even asked if this might be a light case of Thrush and he insisted it wasn’t so I agreed and went on my away, possibly accounting these symptoms to stress. I recently graduated and at the moment I am having a hard time finding a job. Also, within the last 2 weeks I have began to have the feeling that something is stuck in my throat all the time, almost to the point where if I swallow wrong it causes me to gag. When I look down my throat it appears that the bumps are there too and are slightly irritated.

What’s odd about all these symptoms is as soon as I eat something or drink something they all recede for a short time, anywhere from 30 minutes to and hour. I have been gargling with warm salt water constantly and using Chloraseptic at night and in the morning to reduce the pain and eating cough drops during the day just to keep something in my mouth so it doesn’t hurt. It is really becoming annoying because it isn’t getting better. If anything it is slowly getting worse.

First question is could this just all be from stress?
Second question is could this really be Thrush and my Dentist just missed it?
Third question is what else could this be? (Maybe I need my tonsils removed)

I really have no idea and I am lost at what to do next. Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and help.
