My tonsils are usually very swollen. They have always been big-ish more or less, but lately their normal state is “swollen”. Even if I don’t have an infection, when I open my mouth I can see my tonsils like two huge pinkish raisins in the back of my throat. I also get tonsil stones very easily, which bothers me a lot because of the psychological effect they have on me, and because they’re disgusting and smelly. As soon as I get the slightest bit cold I get a sore throat, and usually tonsil stones as well. I don’t know what to do about this. My sister had her tonsils removed when she was 8, but that’s simply not an option for me. I don’t have the money for the surgery, neither do I have the courage, and I don’t even have time to go see a normal doctor about my problems.
Is there some everyday relief I can use for my sore and swollen tonsils, or some over the counter drugs that could help? I live in Sweden so unless it’s an internationally common medicine, I’m not sure I can find it in Swedish pharmacies.
As I said above… getting my tonsils removed is NOT an option… netiher have the time or the money for the surgery.
For the last time ppl… read the whole question. I AM NOT HAVING MY TONSILS REMOVED!! What I’m asking for is a way to fix my problems myself, because I AM NOT HAVING THEM REMOVED!

He does not like the dental dog treats. Is there something I can do besides brushing his teeth?
Thanks!
