ok so i dont have tonsilitus but i get tonsil stones which get on my nerves and are uncomfortable when i swallow. so if i go to the doctors and ask, will he let me have my tonsils removed? or do you have to have tonsilitis?

For a couple of years now I have been getting these things called ‘tonsil stones’… little white, hard things that get lodged in my tonsils. I pick them out all the time with a Qtip, but they come back every day! My boyfriend tells me that my breath stinks because of these things… my throat is sore a lot… my ears itch constantly… is the best solution to get rid of my tonsils? I’ve read about these things online and they aren’t harmful to my health, but they are just so annoying! And I am so self conscious when I talk to people because I think that they can smell them in my mouth. Anyone else have these things? Why don’t doctors know more about them?
