I’m thirteen years old and my throat has been really, really sore for the last few days. This morning when I was brushing my teeth I noticed that my tonsils are all red and swollen. I’m on antibiotics for my throat but they aren’t doing anything and I think it’s getting worse. When I showed my mom she said that I might have to get them removed, and I’m scared because I love to sing and I’m hoping to become a singer in the near future. Will getting tonsils removed affect my singing voice at all? I’ve searched Yahoo! Answers for this question and found a ton of results… but half of them said there’s no effect on the voice and the other half said there was. :\

Im hector and i was wondering if anyone can help me with singing high.No matter how hard i try singing high, air just comes out or my voice stops.Can anyone help or give me an advice?I love singing and this is what i want to do the rest of my life and just wondering if my tonsils does effect my singing.I think it is holding me back from singing high or singing.Do i need to take my tonsils out?
