I’m 18 and have had sinus problems since i can remember. (Chronic sinusitis) Its nothing too serious, I just feel clogged all the time and get post nasal drip like no other. Its irritating but I can deal with it. My doctor prescribed a nasal steroid but I refuse to take steroids because of the side effects. Lately I’ve had a problem with tonsil stones as well, and that’s not really bearable. I’ve had three in the past four days, and removing them does nothing. They just keep coming back. I actually have a really sore throat because of it .. I think that removing them actually makes the problem worse because of the openings that are left when I do so. I’m thinking of having my tonsils removed, but I wonder if this will help or hurt my sinus problem. I currently go to a pediatrician who refuses to negotiate the problem because I wont take the steroids. I’m going to switch to a family doctor soon anyways, but my question is should I go about having my tonsils removed or wait?

i’ve had tonsil stones (where pieces of food get stuck in crevasses of your tonsils) since i was 12 and in the last year its gotten worse.
usually every few days i’ll feel like i have one and then my cheeks, and head, and eyes hurt really bad.
currently i’ve had at least one tonsil stone for 7 days now. i cannot get it out no matter what i do and today i have horrible sinus pressure.
do you think there is a link since our ears, nose, and throat are connected?
