I get them constantly, one after another. I hate it. Any answers or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Okay for about a year and a half now ive noticed that my tonsils have been enflamed on and off, for the past 6 months theyve been enflamed contantly, there are little holes in them and every few days these little white things come in, i can feel them there and there really annoying, i get some mucus and it affects my breathing sometimes too. i went to 3 doctors first one said it was nothing big and gave me a bunch of different perscriptions(over time) and one of them took it away for 2 weeks or some, but i dont remember its name . the second doctor said it was a minor nasal infection and gave me some spray, which did nothing, and the 3rd doctor said that it was food collecting in the back of my throat. im not sure exactly what it is, from my research it looks like tonsil stones, its really annoying is there a home remedy to get rid of it, or do i have to have my tonsils removed?
